I really need to post.
So life has been puttering along. It's crazy that Atlantean and I are almost to our first year anniversary! Only three months. Here are some of the plans we have for each month:
August - My play! It's coming along and we finally have rehearsal week next week leading up to the performances! I think/hope it will all pull together! Some of the solos are a little quiet... but over all, it has some great scenes, and great writing (whaaaat? who put that in there!?) I also have the kid who plays my wolf who I'm convinced is gonna love theatre after this, since he's so involved. I have some cute kids in my play :)
September - Lagoon day! with the fam before a lot of them leaving on missions. I'm excited! I've wanted to go to Lagoon since March.
October - Going up to Carey Idaho to visit Bernita and Larry. Since we called Bernita, she told us there are houses up for sale, specifically one right next to them for a flat $75,000. We've been tempted, and for a couple of weeks we were seriously considering the idea. It's been put to the back burner now, but it is ideally what we want and we'll consider it in the future depending on where life takes us. I want to raise my kids in a community and somewhere safe from the world.
November - our first year anniversary and we are going to see Come From Away! in the Eccles Theatre! Tickets were expensive, but now that the buyers remorse is over, we're both excited. Figures we're going to go look at houses in a tiny town and then come home to watch a play about a tiny town banding together.
December - Christmas! (duh!)
I have some stuff I wanna talk about regarding that USDB job that I interviewed for with the blind children. I didn't get the paraprofessional position, and I was kinda bummed since that was the first interview that I botched/didn't get, but then on my way to work, I got a call from the lady who had interviewed me who said that she had been so impressed with me (key word!) that she had referred me over to the communication intervener position, so I interviewed for that this morning, just two hours ago over the phone! I don't think I did as well as my one in person, but my friend at work (a lovely lady who has no mythical name but works in the Planning&Enrollment department) says it's just a formality that they call and interview and that they like me. I'm hoping. I've never worked with special ed kids before, but I feel God saying it will be okay, even if the first leap will be a little overwhelming.
My friend Brownie and Sylph have agreed to try to make cheese with me. Brownie is actually pretty excited! Sylph is moving 😠so now we have to come up with reasons to see each other even more so! I'm kind of glad both of them aren't going to school right now.
I dunno, what else is going on? We have two new members who none of us have ever met coming to D&D. Our car is totally out of the shop. It was out a day before we had to drive down to St. George to go see Prince of Egypt, which was an okay production and a really fun experience! We did AirBnB and never met our host!
If I think of anything else, I'll post, I guess? I'm having a wig detangling party tonight lol. I love Brownie. What a great person she is to be around.
