Aaaaaw. I mean AAAAAAAW.
Some lady just came up to me and said, "By the way, everytime I come in here, your eyes are GORGEOUS. They are GORGEOUS."
Shocked, I thanked her! And then I said I don't get that all the time and she said on her way out,
"They just aren't saying it like I haven't been. I mean, with the dark hair. They really are." and she left!
And that really made my day because on top of two mean phone calls (one where a man was insisting his son be held back in preschool because he was too small, and another lady who actually got mad at me for not being able to UNBLOCK HER ROAD FROM THE SCHOOL TRAFFIC) and my boss mocking me (I don't do the morning shift often Harpy! I don't know what time the building actually opens!) I was having a less than optimal day. Not crummy persay, but I did have to call Atlantean to vent.
Wow! How refreshing and honest to get such a sincere compliment that just boosts ya! It just boosts ya! I wish I had the confidence to tell people how pretty they are. That was so nice... :)

ALSO we read my play with the Kepps and my family, and I invited a girl from my ward who had been in one of my plays previously that I was kind of nervous inviting but she was actually really helpful and I'm only saying this because this blog is private but I think I want her as my lead!!
And they really liked my play! They laughed and felt compassion towards the characters, they liked Aja's grumpiness and thought it was an important part of the play and the girl I invited actually said she almost cried during the dramatic scene I was most worried about. Now to work on the music! I have one PDF of a beautiful scripted piece one of my writers wrote me and two videos of a friend playing music that I have to decipher and add to again.
Tuesday we went over to play board games with another young married couple, which was equally as cool. Played Betrayal at the House on the Hill and got to see their interaction with their kid (plus they're pregnant and are just leaking the information to whoever asks. They're cool. It was cool. I made blondies and blanched on my no sugar rule when I did. Mistake.
Wednesday (yesterday) we went to Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder at Hale Center Theatre with two golden tickets we got (I hate to be selfish, but I get to go to Matilda with my family because Mermaid's date that she's leaving is afterward). It was hilarious!! Listened to the music again this morning.
Speaking of Wednesday, I received a text and call from Canyons School District and that morning was a crazy snow storm that canceled all of school and work! So we decided Atlantean shouldn't go either if school buses weren't, so we got a snow day and had dinner (Which we contributed a vegetable soup to) with Jinn, Troll and Unicorn.
Tonight I presumptuously have kickboxing and Atlantean is looking into swordfighting again tonight.
Friday we are going to Logan with our family to do an endowment for a dead relative that means a lot because he died young. I'm excited to be going back to Logan, but we have also heard a rumor that Atlantean's friend Dwarf might be getting married (discreetly?) tomorrow! Very fast, very soon, very unexpected! We didn't particularly like his girlfriend when we met her, but we have to support him and her in their choices because we love them. We're not really sure what's going on, but it looks like they are going to sneak down to just sign some documents and be married. Which will be unfortunate because we'll have to choose between them and Logan and that's difficult.
Also Elf seems to be proposing to his girlfriend soon too!! And a highschool friend is getting married in March. Lots of marriages!
Anyway. It's a good day. :)
