January 5th

Today is a serious day of change!

Last night Atlantean and I decided to strip the bed and sleep out in the living room to get the house ready to receive our new mattress/bed! I slept on the red couch and he slept on his cot with a doubled up memory foam mattress topper. He said he slept great, and I had to admit I slept pretty great too, that's how bad our bed is. I've been having back pain for a while now haha... and Atlantean said he never feels quite rested, but that he actually did when he slept out on his cot.

So we woke up to Atlantean getting a phone call from a welding company whom he had applied to the night before! Which means it hadn't even been twelve hours! Either they are desperate or they really liked his application. They set up a time to do a welding test and I'm getting excited! My Atlantean might be an official welder yet! Even if he's not, we'll give it our darndest to try again. I know he has skills that will help feed our family and that is really a nice thing to know.

Then we got a call from Mattress Firm saying our delivery was on it's way in a matter of fifteen minutes. So Atlantean and Nymph scrambled to clean the living room and get it presentable, and then went to wait and read outside so our deliverers would know that we were the basement apartment and not bother our upstairs neighbors. It was a son and father duo who came and barely spoke to us, though I wouldn't say they were rude at all, as they barely spoke to each other. But they set up our bed and it's frame AND boxsprings without trouble - were amazing in service and efficient and Atlantean and I just sat back, ate breakfast and praised the fates that our bed had finally arrived.
When they left, Atlantean and I just stood in the doorframe, just looking in awe at what was actually a true and blue bed sitting in the middle of our room. Atlantean counted to three and we belly flopped on it at the same time, which actually turned out to be a mistake as it was made of firm memory foam. But it was funny nonetheless. We just laid there, already loving what it was doing to our backs.

Then I started cleaning our  house, and mosying until it was time to take for Atlantean to take me to work. He insisted I eat and we ended up being nearly half an hour late because we took our time eating at McDonalds. Now I'm at work and tonight Atlantean and I are going to cut our hair very short! and then D&D!

Also, I went to Imp's endowment. She took it very well! Honestly more maturely than I did the first time. She merely understood the importance of things she had been shown. I even got PTSD in the locker room, really going into something of a panic...
Afterward, we went out with my parents and started talking about raising kids, and it was really cool to talk about their perspective, and I just love them. :#3

Also, today has been kind of really fun at work because I keep having people ask me about Home Show tickets and I keep getting to give them out and it's been really fun finally working semi-hard, providing a  service and making people happy :)

Aaaaaand -  I found the PERFECT arrangement of things I want on Amazon! The Office Complete Series dropped down 30$ not to mention a game I want is already 10$ cheaper than at the store, and then I'm getting ears for a simulation and a glowy orb - because. And I'm really excited to buy them! I am kind of obsessed with shows like The Office, 30 Rock and Arrested Development! :D

Life's a changing! Also! Auditions for Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat are next week! Squee!
